Um paraíso de vida selvagem, ainda pouco explorado e visitado pelos turistas. Considerado o maior berço de vários santuários de vida selvagem. Um lugar rico em belezas naturais de uma paisagem única e inesquecível. Rica em vegetação composta por lagoas, bacias, planícies, florestas e muitos animais selvagens. Tivemos o prazer de sobrevoar o Delta do Okavango, que é considerado como o maior delta interior do mundo, e ele está situado no noroeste de Botsuana. Esta é uma área tão importante e especial para a humanidade que a região é classificada como Patrimônio Mundial pela Unesco e ainda como uma das Sete Maravilhas Naturais da África. O Delta do Okavango é de fato um lugar incrível, de paisagens fascinantes devido a diversidade que existe no lugar. A fauna e a flora do Delta do Okavango é um outro ponto forte desta viagem, cheia de descobertas. Descobrimos que no Delta foram identificados a existência de 1300 espécies de plantas e inúmeras espécies de animais. Os animais são os protagonistas deste safári fascinante e selvagem. Tivemos o prazer de cruzar com as girafas, zebras, gnus, búfalos, elefantes, muitos pássaros, crocodilos, hipopótamos, leopardos, hienas, … A grande sensação desses encontros foi quando nos deparamos com o rei da selva os leões. Outra visão extraordinária deste safári está na aparição da rara garça Braunkehl que é encontrada quase que exclusivamente no Delta do Okavango. A biodiversidade é tão grande, que você não sabe o que fazer diante de tanta beleza e descoberta. Se existe um lugar onde você tem uma oportunidade de ver um maior número de animais selvagens, este é o lugar. Uma reserva de vidas selvagens que fazem parte deste Continente que é muito especial.
O DELTA DO OKAVANGO
Antes de iniciar esta expedição eu já tinha ouvido falar que lá no Delta do Okavango existe um silêncio e uma tranquilidade nunca antes experimentada pelo ser humano. De fato o silêncio no lugar nos faz perceber que somos uma centelha nesta imensidão de vida selvagem. O mais curioso é que diante daquele silêncio absurdo, eu tive a oportunidade única de contemplar a paisagem e ao mesmo tempo fazer uma longa meditação. A África é um lugar mágico e estar dentro deste cenário selvagem só aumenta mais esta sensação e vivência espiritual. Não tem como afastar esta possibilidade da natureza em si, já que é um mistério dentro desta criação. A nossa equipe viveu esses momentos intensamente, dentro deste safári. Um safári cheio de história, e muita informação sobre cada vida selvagem que vive lá.
O país oferece paisagens de tirar o fôlego. O que te convida a explorar mais e mais o lugar. Um safári na região além de ser incrível ele ainda ensina muito sobre a cultura local. Mokoro, é uma canoa nativa da região, onde podemos fazer este safári através dos canais do Delta. A viagem fica cada vez mais emocionante porque podemos contemplar nos canais do Delta, os elefantes banhando-se entre as diversas espécies de pássaros nativos da região. Esta viagem fascinante é uma das mais especiais que tivemos ao longo desta expedição pelo Continente africano. Aqui o povo nos recebeu com sorrisos, e uma alegria contagiante. Que só de lembrar já nos deixa com uma imensa saudade.
A minha nostalgia também fica por conta dos passeios que fizemos com cavalos e as longas caminhadas que pudemos usufruir com total segurança. A noite neste pedaço de terra consagrada à natureza selvagem, é mais linda ainda. Basta olhar para o céu para você perceber, o quanto que a magia nos envolve neste lugar. Eu com uma taça de vinho africano nas mãos, e os meus olhos fixados nas estrelas do céu. Eu agradeço, enfim. A nossa viagem termina nesta noite, e amanhã já estamos na estrada em busca de mais uma aventura pela África. Até, a próxima edição.

A wildlife paradise, still little explored and visited by tourists. Considered the biggest birthplace of several wildlife sanctuaries. A place rich in natural beauties of a unique and unforgettable landscape. Rich in vegetation consisting of lagoons, basins, plains, forests and many wild animals. We had the pleasure of flying over the Okavango Delta, which is considered to be the largest inland delta in the world, and it is situated in the northwest of Botswana. This is such an important and special area for humanity that the region is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. The Okavango Delta is indeed an incredible place, with fascinating landscapes due to the diversity that exists in the place. The fauna and flora of the Okavango Delta is another strong point of this trip, full of discoveries. We discovered that in the Delta, the existence of 1300 species of plants and countless species of animals have been identified. Animals are the protagonists of this fascinating and wild safari. We had the pleasure of crossing with giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, many birds, crocodiles, hippos, leopards, hyenas, … The great sensation of these encounters was when we came across the king of the jungle, the lions. Another extraordinary sight on this safari is the sight of the rare Braunkehl heron that is found almost exclusively in the Okavango Delta. Biodiversity is so great that you don’t know what to do in the face of so much beauty and discovery. If there is one place where you have an opportunity to see a greater number of wild animals, this is it. A wildlife reserve that is part of this very special continent.
THE DELTA OF OKAVANGO
Before starting this expedition I had already heard that there in the Okavango Delta there is a silence and tranquility never before experienced by human beings. In fact, the silence in the place makes us realize that we are a spark in this immensity of wild life. The most curious thing is that in the face of that absurd silence, I had the unique opportunity to contemplate the landscape and at the same time do a long meditation. Africa is a magical place and being inside this wild scenery only increases this feeling and spiritual experience. There is no way to remove this possibility from nature itself, as it is a mystery within this creation. Our team lived these moments intensely, within this safari. A safari full of history, and lots of information about every wildlife that lives there. The country offers breathtaking landscapes. Which invites you to explore the place more and more. A safari in the region, besides being amazing, also teaches a lot about the local culture. Mokoro, is a canoe native to the region, where we can do this safari through the channels of the Delta. The trip becomes more and more exciting because we can contemplate in the channels of the Delta, the elephants bathing among the diverse species of birds native to the region. This fascinating trip is one of the most special we have had during this expedition across the African continent. Here the people welcomed us with smiles and contagious joy. That just remembering it already leaves us with an immense longing. My nostalgia is also due to the rides we took with horses and the long walks that we were able to enjoy in complete safety. The night in this piece of land devoted to wild nature is even more beautiful. Just look at the sky for you to realize how much magic surrounds us in this place. Me with a glass of African wine in my hands, and my eyes fixed on the stars in the sky. I thank you, anyway. Our trip ends tonight, and tomorrow we are on the road in search of another adventure through Africa. Until the next edition.
